Brad stared at his bedroom floor as he gagged the saltwater from his lungs. It had to have been a dream, but every detail was still vivid in his mind. She was so perfect, the blond hair, the blue eyes, far too good for him. If not for the thirty-foot wave, what might have happened? What if the lighted doorway hadn’t been there to escape through? Would she even remember him if it really did happen? Why had the lady in green led him to the cemetery and then provided the doorway to Sharon?
Sharon landed with a thud. She opened her eyes and looked around her living room. Max was barking frantically as she stood to greet him and pick him up. The dream seemed so real; she could remember every detail, from the white sand to the portable bar, and the handsome man, Brad. Why had the girl in the pink skirt said he needed her? How did she transport her to that beautiful ocean beach and why? She lay down on the couch exhausted. As she fell asleep, she couldn’t help but wonder if she would ever see her dream man again. She would definitely be looking for the lady in pink again tomorrow. The next time, she wouldn’t be so fearful of the bright light that led her to him.
