A college drop-out, out-of-work bartender, and occasional writer goes on holiday and rents a horse. Have notebook, will travel. Might write for cash. She might have an idea that could sell. If she can find enough paper to write it and pay for it along the way.
A 15th-century warrior and mercenary scout, armed with a crossbow, a sword, and a horse that’s built like a tank. He’s on the run from a murderous clergyman. He’s got a trick or two up his tunic sleeve and a few friends in both high, and low places.
Against all odds, they meet in the middle.
