When Skylar and Brandonβs wedding plans unravel, they turn to their best friends for help.
However, the last thing Sarah Woodrow wants to do is plan her friendβs wedding. Sheβs a busy third-grade teacher, she has a steady boyfriend, and she doesnβt think much of Brandon. Too bad Skylar has never been one to take no for an answer, even when Sarah tried to drop out and push her away.
Jason Jordan immediately decides that Skylarβs Maid of Honor is just another ditzy debutante. He would rather talk Brandon out of this wedding, not help to plan it, especially with someone like Sarah. But Brandon stood by him during the worst time in his life, soβ¦
Heβs soon forced to admit that Sarah is more sensibleβand less annoyingβthan he originally thought. For her part, sheβs wary of a guy with commitmentβand otherβissues, even when Jason proves to be surprisingly kind and thoughtful.
When Sarah and Jason grudgingly reconcile to the idea of Skylar and Brandon marrying, they’re faced with a big problemβif they’re going to plan the wedding, then they’ll have to scale Skylarβs extravaganza way, way back. Skylar soon learns that her Maid of Honor and the Best Man have downgraded her registry from Saks Fifth Avenue to Target. And it goes downhill from thereβshe’ll be wearing a consignment dress down the aisle, and then her formerly fairy tale wedding will end with a pig roast!
But that’s the least of Skylarβs worriesβshe’s becoming more and more alarmed by Sarahβs growing connection with Jason. Skylar loves her like a sister, so she knows better than anyone that, despite her book smarts, Sarah has a history of questionable choices in men. Is Jason a genuinely good guy like Brandon insists, or will he prove to be Sarahβs worst mistake ever?
Naturally, that question is too important to leave to her βlittle sister,β so Skylar concocts a series of wild schemes to ensure that everything works out the way it should. Will they all live happily ever after? Or will Skylar lose her best friend forever?
