The Semi-Lovers Senior Romance Is Like a Rainbow-Short and Sweet

All married seniors eventually lose their mates. Grief overwhelms them, but in their loneliness, a few of them fall in love and remarry late in life, while others may become companions or lovers a second time around without getting married-in spite of how their friends and family may feel about that. Seventy-five-year-old widower Dan Ahn meets his old sweetheart, Lucy Kim Yi, for the first time in forty-five years through Facebook. When he does so, he has no idea that he is opening a door for romance in the twilight of his life. Lucy soon learns that Dan may only have four years to live. Even so, she gingerly restarts their friendship, and they soon become intimate companions, a state she refers to as semilovers. They try to relish it as much as possible, knowing well that it will not last forever.
